When I switched my practice to telehealth, I wasn't sure it would work. How do you build a real therapeutic connection through a screen?

Turns out — really well.

My clients consistently tell me they prefer it. No commute. No waiting room. No rushing out of work early. No finding a babysitter. You're in your own space, where you feel safe, wearing whatever you want (I've had sessions with people still in pajamas — it's fine).

The connection is real. The tears are real. The breakthroughs are real. The screen just gets out of the way.

Last week alone, I had sessions with: someone in their car during a lunch break. A mom in her bedroom while her kids napped. A nurse on her one day off, still in pajamas. Someone's dog jumped on the keyboard twice. All of it was fine. All of it was real therapy.

Book Your Time

Choose a slot that works for you through my scheduling system. Morning person? Night owl? I have flexible hours because life doesn't fit neatly into 9-to-5.

Get Your Link

You'll receive a secure link via email. Click it at your appointment time from any device — phone, tablet, laptop, desktop. That's it. No app downloads. No accounts to create.

Show Up As You Are

Find a quiet, private spot. Could be your bedroom, your car in the driveway, your office with the door closed. Wherever you feel comfortable. I'll be right there on screen, fully present.

We Do the Work

From here, it's just us. Same quality session you'd get in an office — minus the commute, the waiting room magazines, and the uncomfortable couch.

Tech Setup (Keep It Simple)

Device with camera So we can see each other — phone works fine
Stable internet For clear audio/video — WiFi or cellular data
Headphones For privacy (recommended, not required)
Quiet space So you can focus and feel safe — doesn't have to be perfect

That's it. If you can make a FaceTime call, you can do a telehealth session.

Your Privacy Is Non-Negotiable

  • HIPAA-compliant platform — not Zoom, not FaceTime. A healthcare-grade encrypted video system.
  • No recordings — sessions are never recorded unless you explicitly request it and sign consent.
  • Secure messaging — any communication between sessions goes through secure, encrypted channels.
  • No data sharing — your information is never sold, shared, or used for advertising. Ever.

Common Questions

"Will it feel as real as in-person?"

Yes. I hear this worry a lot, and after thousands of telehealth sessions, I can tell you: the therapeutic connection doesn't require physical proximity. It requires presence, attention, and trust. All of that translates through video.

"What if my internet drops?"

It happens. No big deal. I'll wait a minute, and if you don't reconnect, I'll call your phone. We won't lose your session.

"Can I walk around during our session?"

Some people do. If movement helps you think or talk, go for it. I've had clients on walks, doing dishes, sitting in their car — whatever makes the conversation flow.

"What about my kids/roommates/partner overhearing?"

Headphones are your friend. Many clients do sessions from their car, a closet, or after kids are in bed. We'll find what works.

"Do I have to be on camera?"

I prefer video because it helps me read your body language and connect with you. But if there's a day where you need audio-only, that's okay. We work with where you are.
